New ruleset with some pretty big changes.

  • Added direct movement rules, modified a few moves to use this term instead of "straight line."
  • Added more specific rules for pushing.
  • Added line of sight rules.
  • Added rules for tag team moves.
  • Added tag team move list.
  • Fixed the tier 3 moves a bit so that they did less damage and got more worthwhile extras. This involved some heavy edits and removing a few moves altogether.
  • Put Slam back in as a tier 2 move.
  • Fixed some minor holdovers from previous versions that didn't get edited out yet somehow.
  • Buffed big finish a bit by taking out the secondary attack and just making the WP loss automatic.
  • Drag move now takes into account AP.

Latest version.

I'm going to start doing a changelog, so that people who have read earlier versions don't need to scour the whole new version for tiny changes.

Different Shit:

  • Added tier 1 attack: Jab
  • Clothesline is now PHY vs DEF. I was going to make it SPD vs DEF to follow the model of the other reaction type attacks, but it didn't really make any sense.
  • Added an introduction to the setting, a better summary of what happens in-game, and fluffy section intros.
  • Cleared up the forced movement damage rules a bit. When two characters collide, they both take damage.
  • Characters now heal PHY HP, or to PHY HP instead of 1. Beds heal fully.
  • Teams start off with 15 loot points and 10 build points.
  • Some small edits for space and clarity.
  • Added another achievement and made some minor edits to that section.

rules6.pdf - mightiest of all .pdfs

Ok, first post-actual test game update. Chances are that my fixes uncovered another layer of problems, but we'll see.

Download here.

5th version of the rules is up.

Also, from now on I'm linking to here in any threads I make, because everyone likes to click the OP link and not get the latest version.

Latest version.

I should probably get in the habit of posting development stuff here, but that tends to happen in the threads. Oops.

Update

Here's the latest.

Also, since I don't feel like making a new version for such a small change, consider the attack resolution sentence changed to "When a player declares a move against a target, that player must roll 2d6, add the stat listed under the attack line of the move to the total, add 4 for every teammate capable of attacking adjacent to the target, and compare it to the target's DF" for now.

Update

Draft of the latest version is up. I should probably come up with a numbering system for these. Oh, new blog, first post, etc.
